This month there’s something new at Bastet Jewelry: Crystal Castles!
Crystal Castles are amazing Quartz Crystal points. These points are mined in Brazil and retain beautiful pure earth energy. They range from 1 to 4 inches in height and 1 to 4 inches in width. They nestle in a carved hardwood stand that is custom-made for each piece.
These amazing and strong crystals come in a variety of plain Quartz, Quartz with Moss Agate blooming in it, Quartz with Smokey Quartz radiating in it, and Quartz with Citrine glowing in it. Every crystal is utterly unique.
Each of the lovely points has been meditated into by two practicing witches (myself and my good friend Rabbit of Sacred Well) to discover its magickal use and purpose. Each crystal has been given a name to honor it. This crystal can be used in many aspects: energy generation, cleansing, manifestation, protection, inspiration, meditation, channeling, and so much more.
Rabbit shares her experience of working with the crystals: ”I believe every stone has a story to tell and a purpose to fulfill on this Earth, and we human beings have stories inside us that match those of the stones. When Renee asked if I would like to join her in learning the stories hidden within these crystal castles and matching them with caretakers who would harmonize with them, I was delighted! The journey into each stone was amazing. Their voices leapt off our tongues as we came up from the meditations. Since we began working with the Castles, we have happily been able to match many of them with exactly the right people to guard and embrace their mysteries. I selected one of the Castles to work with, one named "Dark Moon Fortune Teller." She is the ancestral wisdom of my foremothers, who traveled in their caravans with their cards, tea leaves, palm readings, herbs and roots. She is a guide for my divination practice, and she keeps alive my passion for bellydance and drumming as well. She is a friend for the ages and when my bones are long since dust, I know she will continue to sing of women’s magic to the next generation of stone-seeking daughters.”
The Book of Stones by Simmons and Ahsian says these rare crystals formations “should be treasured if you have the opportunity to connect with one. These stones act as Earth energy ‘batteries,’ allowing one to easily access and utilize the electromagnetic energy of the Earth’s aura. One can use this energy receptively to recharge one’s own energy banks if one is drained or has been ill or injured. They can also be used in a directive manner to broadcast prayer and thought energy through the electromagnetic field of the planet.”
Because these stones have so many messages from the Divine in our lives, Crystal Castles will now reside on the Spirit page of my website.

Carnelian!
Creativity and Movement!
Carnelian is a creamy orange stone sometimes found in variations of red or yellow. This stone connects you to your body. It opens up your ability to express emotions. It also helps you tap into the creativity you often hide or feel you don’t have a way to express.
An energy enhancer, this stone lends vitality and strength to the physical body. It helps us overcome difficulty and challenges with confidence and assurance.
Physically, Carnelian detoxifies while helping your body absorb the nutrients it needs. It helps us break bad habits that are negative and hurtful to our bodies. This stone also helps the body express itself through movement, which releases tension and adds flexibility to the hips and lower back. Great for back pain or stiff joints. Perfect for dancers!
I work with Carnelian in the elements of Fire and in the second chakra. It is a wonderful stone that can aid in making physical movement easier and in opening your creativity. Feel looser and lighter with this stone!

I first met Renee at a party hosed by one of my coworkers. I was hooked on her creations from that point on.
Each of her pieces is not only a work of art, but a personalized masterpiece. Each has its own name and special meaning for the person it is made for. Needless to say, I hosted not one but two parties at which all guests just loved her work. I had her make a couple of necklaces for my sister and daughter-in-law and my son. They all LOVED them.
