Stone Medicine with Renee

Healing and Teaching

A wise person in my life told me recently that the best way to continue to learn is to teach. Last year someone came to my booth at a fair and asked if I would teach her to work with stones. Then earlier this year my Spirit Mama also asked me to teach her how to meditate with stones. Okay, I can take a hint!

Society decrees that to teach, one must have a degree, credentials. What are my credentials? What is my degree? Well, two years ago, my stone teacher deemed me a Stone Priestess, complete with a graduation ritual. Why didn’t I begin teaching after that?

Also, in my spiritual practice I’ve worked with energy movement and intuitive counseling for a long time. I’ve been applying Stone Medicine and Reiki to the jewelry I make. I’ve worked one-on-one to show people meditation techniques. What more did I need?

Seasoning. I needed to properly marinate and become more seasoned in challenges, consistency, balance, and clarity. I needed my daily life to resonate with my heart’s desire. I could continue this yummy process for decades. However, being nudged in this direction by customers and my own life teachers is a sign that it’s time. Time for me to start giving back all the amazing knowledge and guidance I’ve received.

Early this year I received my attunement to practice Reiki. It has enhanced my identity as a healer. I feel that I have more to offer the stones, the jewelry pieces, my healing practice, and my Stone Medicine clients. Applying Reiki to the stones enables the pieces to hold the energy charge longer and helps clients become more open to stone energy. It's been a perfect spicy addition!

Historically I’ve always made big leaps in personal growth around Summer Solstice. It is an auspicious time to explore new paths. This year I am using the Solstice energy to birth new classes and workshops. My heart and soul tell me that moving into a teaching role will allow me touch more lives in a more profound way. In addition to my strong connection with the Goddess and a powerful practice as a solitary witch, I have the solid foundation in my craft to take this jump. It’s the perfect time!

That said ....

I will be offering a variety of healing sessions and classes.

Reiki: I will offer sessions that incorporate Stone Medicine. If you live in the Bay Area, I am also happy to teach these sessions in your home, where you will be most comfortable.

Stone Teachings: I am cooking up some nourishing courses on how to work with stones: picking stones, cleansing stones, and creating your own Stone Medicine bag.

Energy Work: I will offer classes on cleansing a home and energetically charging a room or facility. This session will include ways to enhance your solitary practice and stay grounded and centered.

I would love to hear your feedback, ideas, and interest level in the sessions above. Please drop me a note with your thoughts. I am very excited to hear from you!

Blessed be,

A Benefit Show

"My name is Licky. I am a sweet, gentle 7-year-old male kitty. Recently I was very ill and had to be hospitalized for 3 weeks. Although I’m now on the road to recovery, my mommy (who lives on a teacher's salary) owes about $10,000 in emergency vet bills.

I am blessed to have friends who love me; they have organized a fabulous benefit show on my behalf. I hope you and your friends can join us for this awesome event. If you can’t make it but would still like to donate to the cause, please email Renee Bastet and she will send you a Paypal address that you can send donations to. My mommy and I appreciate your support!"
