Stone Medicine with Renee
Illumination and Enlightenment!
Happy May! In May, we celebrate Beltane (more on that below). May is also the month of the direction of East on the Sacred Hoop, also known as the Medicine Wheel, in Native American tradition.
The East indicates renewal, rebirth, and the flowering of the seeds we planted in our hearts during the winter. It reminds us that life is meant to be celebrated and enjoyed, not suffered and endured.
The East calls our attention to the light inside us that shows where we are and where we should be going—our true life path. This is the light of mental and spiritual enlightenment and an awareness of the unity of all living things. With this light comes the courage to venture into exciting new things and unknown realms.
Finally, the East is the direction of beauty. In the quest for enlightenment, the seeker of knowledge should, in the words of our native peoples, "touch the world with Beauty." With the flowers and birds and buds returning, May reminds us to bring beauty to the world in our thoughts, actions, and words.
In May we also celebrate Beltane. This ancient festival of rebirth gives us an opportunity to express our desires, fertilize our ideas, and explore our “wild” sides.
This month, take some time to see what is blossoming around you. Explore a park, your yard, or wherever you find nature. Most importantly, look to see what’s blossoming inside your own heart. Get in touch with your creative and adventurous side. And make it a point to try something new!
Blessed be,

Moss Agate!
Energy and Health!
Moss agate is both magickal and fun. This stone brings to us a sense of play with a grounded foundation. It invokes the Fae and Gnomes, encouraging a sense of awe for the old world. It connects us strongly to nature. And it inspires and encourages us to try new things, perfect for the month of May!
Physically, Moss Agate aids with swelling of the lymph nodes and boosts the immune system. It also helps us let go of physical and mental stress.
I work with Moss Agate in the element of Earth and in the First Chakra. It helps us feel connected to the great Mother Earth and live in the present moment.

When Renee first explained Stone Medicine to me, I literally jumped at the opportunity to work with this powerful tool for self-transformation. I was going through a period of intense personal growth and change, and I felt that parts of me were literally pulling in different directions. My Stone Medicine session, the reading that accompanied it, and the exercises that Renee suggested to help me use this new healing modality gave me a sense of realignment toward my higher purpose, reintegration of my long-term goals with my everyday life, and a sense of accomplishment in the work I had already done. My growth process continues, and I feel great about it!
